eagles beat dolphins and cost miami head coach tony sparano his job. and the chiefs todd haley got axed as well after kc got bombed 37-10 by jets. detroit held on against vikings 34-28 but showed more cracks in disipline.houston clinched afc south with 20-19 win over bengals.green bay crushed oakland to stay undefeated. baltimore over indy and saints rolled past titans.patriots beat redskins plus a brady blowup on the sidelines.falcons topped panthers, steelers battered the browns.buffalo bills more garbage losing big to chargers.jags over bucs in florida and niners lose close one to cards.seahawks cleaned up on a poor rams team for the monday nighter in seattle.

falcons putting the boots to the jags at the georgia dome tonight on thursday night football it's 41-7 as this game is wrapping up gabbert and the jaguars offence can't get any momentum and falcons qb matt ryan is 19 for 26 passing with 3 td's atlanta has really controlled this whole game and looks good improving record to 9-5 and it's bad news for cowboys and the bears who are currently 7-6 and on the outside looking in at the nfc wild card race with lions 8-5. cowboys play saturday vs bucs bears vs seattle on sunday and detroit vs oakland.

in the special nfl saturday game tony romo and the cowboys handed the bucs their 8th straight losss and put the pressure on the bears to win to stay in the nfc wild card hunt, but the bears couldn't hold an early lead and got bombed by the seahawks as qb tavaris jackson and seattle are playing much improved football. meanwhile tim tebow and the broncos started strong with 3 scores but got killed by turnovers as tom brady and the patriots beat denver 41-23, broncos still on top in afc west. the philadelphia eagles won't be in the playoffs but they put some hurt on new york jets. philly beat new york 45-19. giants losers as well against redskings. bills disapoint again losing to the fish at home. the packers lost for the first time this season to kc chiefs and coach romeo crennel 19-14. indy won for the 1st time getting past titans by 2 touchdowns.detroit edged oakland 28-27 to hold nfc wild card spot.bengals beat rams by 7.saints 42-20 over vikings. cards over browns by a fg. chargers jolt ravens 34-14. monday nighter has steelers vs sf niners.

the sf 49ers looked solid winning the monday nighter 20-3 over the steelers, big ben was not able to deliver as his foot injury slowed him down a bit, the steeelers can still capture the division with a win over st. louis rams this weekend,and a loss by the ravens who play cleveland browns. tonight it's thursday night football with the texans who have clinched AFC south playing colts who are trying to win 2nd game in a row. it's a jam packed NFL saturday coming up also!

tarvaris jackson fumbled the ball at the end and the niners escaped with a 19-17 win over seahawks. the buffalo bills were able to prevent tebowing as they forced 4 interception by denver qb tim tebow and bills buffaloed broncos 40-14. ravens dropped browns 20-14. tom brady made a 17 point comeback against the fish, pats over dolphins 27-24. chiefs and kyle orton topped raiders 16-13.titans over jags by 6. vikings over redskins by 7. lions beat up on chargers 38-10. bengals down cards by a td. cam newton broke petyton manning's rookie record for passing yards in a season and threw a 91 yd bomb leading the panthers on a route over bucs 48-16.

after having playoffs dreams shattered and being crushed by the packers last sunday the bears suffered another blow on the final weekend of the regular season as lb brian urlacher went down with a serious knee sprain injury and hopefully will recover. the bears got a win over the vikings in a nothing game. chicago finishes 8-8, vikes 3-13. the atlanta falcons bounced back from a big loss to the saints in the monday nighter and blasted the tampa bay bucs. falcons finish 10-6, bucs 4-12.
broncos 8-8 lost to the chiefs 7-9 but still win AFC west due to Raiders 8-8 losing to chargers 8-8.
mark sanchez interception sunk the ny jets 8-8 playoff hopes losing to dolphins 6-10.
saints 13-3 won big again over panthers 6-10.
eagles 8-8 over redskins 5-11.
jags 5-11 beat colts 2-14 and colts will get 1st pick and the manning controversy will be the main topice for the colts off season.
titans 9-7 topped texans 10-6.
the bills 6-10 ended a wasted season by blowing 21 point lead to patriots 13-3 and losing 49-21.

big blue sure has an energy about them when they are winning. the new york giants took care of the atlanta falcons 24-2 in NFC wild card play and looked to be large and in charge with the defence swarming all around the qb matt ryan and the dirty birds, making plays and high fiving and chest bumping like they could go all the way, and the eli manning making 3 td passes to manningham,nicks,cruz and company and running the giants offense without any mistakes. Can the giants beat green bay packers this sunday? the packers (15-1) won 38-35 over giants in the reg season game this year.

the houston texans first franchise playoff game was a homecoming of sorts as former oilers coach bum phillips walked through the tunnel to a nice ovation at reliant stadium in houston and the texans followed the conservative game plan, capitalized on bengals mistakes -texans stopped cincinnati 31-10. they turning point was the interception by texans rookie defensive end jj watt who picked off an andy dalton pass and returned for a touchdown to give texans 17-10 lead and houston never looked back.texans go to baltimore this sunday to play the ravens.

despite leading 14-10 at the half the detroit lions were overwhelmed by qb drew brees and the saints in the second half. brees threw for 466 yards passing (most in a playoff game) and 3 td's en route to 45-28 win for new orleans over detroit. the saints oured on a total offense output of 726 yards! now the saints leave the comforts of the big easy for a date with the niners in san fran on saturday.

there were no more miracles available for tim tebow and the broncos as they fell to the new england patriots. tom brady was unstoppable and the broncos came up empty. 45-10 the pats over broncs. now the pats just nee to beat the arvens to take the next step in bill bellicheck's master plan to return to the super bowl.

the ravens victory over the texans 20-13 put them one game away from going to the bowl, but the post game interviews may have been the sight of baltimore undoing. ed reed and the rest of the ravens defence talking about QB joe flacco getting rattled against texans put the spotlight and pressure squarely on flacco. now Joe Flacco must beat the pats or lose the confidence of his team. we'll see what happens today as the Championship Chase continues - enjoy all the NFL ACTION everbody!
